(October 2024 – Dieppe, NB) - Midland’s commitment to quality service was celebrated recently as the company was awarded Canadian LTL Carrier of the Year at the 2023 Ryder Carrier Quality Awards, held in Dallas, Texas.
This is the third time Midland has won the award. As a provider of Less-than-Truckload (LTL), courier, and truckload solutions to Ryder’s customers, the award is a testament to Midland’s quality transportation services.
“Thank you to Ryder for this recognition,” said RJ Irving, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Midland. “We value our partnership with Ryder, which has spanned more than 15 years, and we look forward to building on that strong foundation. Together, we will continue to deliver superior quality service to our customers.”
Each year, the Ryder Awards recognize Canadian and American carriers for service quality and operational excellence based on a variety of metrics, including on-time performance, customer service, economic value, claims handling, and commitment to innovation.
“A big advantage in working with Midland is the strong communication and collaboration, as well as the flexibility in the types of customers they’re able to support - it’s diverse and truly sets them apart,” said Kevin Clonch, Group Director of Transportation Procurement for Ryder.
“This award represents a team effort from our drivers, dock works, dispatchers, customer service and includes all employees that work with our customers every day,” added RJ Irving.
