(December 2024 - Moncton, NB) - Midland is proud to announce that Bob Ludlow, a dedicated driver with 34 years of service in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, has been honoured with the 2024 Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association Driver Mentor of the Year Award. This award acknowledges Bob's outstanding commitment to training and safety, as well as his significant influence on the trucking industry.

The Driver Mentor of the Year Award is presented to individuals who demonstrate a commitment to improving the trucking industry by positively influencing existing drivers, new entrants, and students through their mentoring efforts. Bob exemplifies the qualities sought after in an ideal recipient, including courtesy on the highway, a record of highway safety, and professionalism.

Bob's nomination for the award was a result of his outstanding work with new drivers, particularly novices, at the terminal level. He’s mentored numerous drivers out of the Dartmouth and Bridgewater terminals, including novice driver Chantelle Millett of Dartmouth, who recently made a successful transition into a full-time Night Shunt Driver under his guidance.

Throughout his mentorship, Bob has consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude, leveraging his extensive years of experience to guide and empower new drivers. His efforts have not only contributed to the professional growth of these individuals, but have enriched the overall safety and excellence culture at Midland, reflecting the company’s values.

Midland is proud to have Bob as part of our team, and we congratulate him on this remarkable achievement. His dedication and impact as a driver mentor truly embody the spirit of this award, and we look forward to witnessing the continued positive influence he will have on our organization and the trucking industry.
